We are delighted that Professor Rachel Freathy will deliver the keynote address on Friday: “Understanding diabetes in pregnancy: how can genetics help?”

Rachel is Professor of Human Genetics and a Wellcome Senior Research Fellow at the University of Exeter. She leads a multidisciplinary research team whose goal is to improve maternal and child health through a deeper understanding of fetal growth..


Conference meal on 5th September will be at the Corinthian Club , Glasgow

Professor Naveed Sattar will deliver the keynote on Saturday “Obesity and disease and their treatments: outstanding questions and potential solutions”

Naveed is Professor of Metabolic Medicine at the University of Glasgow. He has an extensive track record of research in metabolic medicine and was recently appointed as chair of the UK Government’s Obesity Mission.

The main conference dinner on Saturday will be at the Voco Grand Central Hotel
